Our congratulations go out to Anthony White, who served as a defenseman for Twice As Strong Hockey. Among the eight recipients of this year's Massachusetts Hockey Sportsmanship Award was Anthony White.
Massachusetts Hockey has been able to honor and spotlight many players who demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship through the Sportsmanship Award. Whether in sports or in life's endeavors, respect, dignity, courtesy, responsibility, and fair play are the cornerstones of this philosophy. Those selected will receive a stipend of $1,250 to help pay for their education.
This past spring Anthony graduated from Melrose High School. Currently, he is a student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Isenberg School of Management, studying finance. In addition to being a member of the National Honors Society, he has volunteered at House Families tutoring low-income students and been a prominent member of the community.
The Strong are incredibly proud of Anthony, who has trained with them off-season for seven years. He truly embodies the principles of honorable sportsmanship and positive citizenship. Once again, we would like to congratulate Anthony on his outstanding achievement. Go Strong and Congratulations!
